Does the task repeat in the same way?
If everyone does it differently, align the work first. Automation needs inputs, rules and exceptions that can be described.
Can an error be detected?
Define how a wrong result is found, who steps in and what they need to see. Do not automate a decision you cannot review.
Is the saving worth it?
Count the task time, volume and cost of error. A simple rule or form improvement may beat a full AI project.
